We offer a welcoming and supportive environment for families looking to enhance their relationships and resolve conflicts. Our family therapy services are designed to address each family's specific challenges and needs, helping members understand each other better and fostering a stronger, more cohesive family unit.

Whether your family is going through a significant transition, dealing with behavioural issues, or simply wanting to improve communication, we are here to guide and support you through the journey.

What is Family Therapy?

Family therapy is a form of psychotherapy that aims to reduce distress and conflict by improving the systems of interactions between family members.

Unlike individual therapy, where only one individual receives therapy, family therapy involves multiple family members and their relationships with each other.

Why Engage in Family Therapy?

Family therapy can be useful in any family situation that causes stress, grief, anger, or conflict. It can help you and your family members understand one another better and bring you closer together.

How Can Family Therapy Benefit Your Family?

This type of therapy helps families learn to communicate better, solve problems, understand family dynamics, and handle special family situations (such as death, serious physical or mental illness, or child and adolescent issues), providing a platform to improve troubled relationships with children, spouses, or other family members.

What Can We Expect in a Family Therapy Session?

During family therapy sessions, multiple family members are involved. Christina will explore your interactions and identify strengths and weaknesses within the family system.

The therapy focuses on finding positive ways to manage relationships and promote understanding.

How Long Does Family Therapy Last?

Family therapy sessions can vary in length, typically lasting from a few months to a year. Sessions often last about 50 minutes to an hour.

Family therapy might meet weekly, every two weeks, or monthly.

Is Family Therapy Confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is just as important in family therapy as in individual therapy. However, the nature of family therapy can sometimes complicate confidentiality since multiple family members are involved.

We will clarify how confidentiality is handled within the sessions.

How Does My Family Prepare for Family Therapy?

Effective family therapy requires the participation of all relevant family members. Everyone should come prepared to describe their perspectives and experiences, stay open to others’ views, and commit to making changes.
